A CASH boost of £49,000 has been handed to arts groups across Bromsgrove district to get more people engaged in creative activities.

The funding, from Arts Council England, is aimed at helping shape the future of the town’s arts scene.

Two meetings will be held so arts groups and organisations can make suggestions and requests for future events.

The first will be at Avoncroft Museum from 6pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, July 5, and the second between 1pm and 3.30pm on July 21 will take place at Catshill Social Club.

A spokesperson for the Bromsgrove Arts and Culture Consortium said the sessions were designed to be fun and engaging.

“We’re especially keen to hear from groups that might be smaller or informal, people we many not already be in regular contact with.”

The organisers want groups to say who they are engaging with, what was working well and who they would like to engage with.
