Events are being held to highlight age-related macular degeneration

THREE events are being held to highlight age-related macular degeneration (AMD). They coincide with National Macular Week which begins on Monday and runs until next Sunday, July 1.

Amanda Read, the Macular Society’s regional manager for Central West, is holding an awareness day on Wednesday, June 27, between 10am and 3pm in Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The Barnt Green Macular Degeneration Group will be holding a tea afternoon from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, June 29, at the Parish Centre and an awareness day will be held at Webbs garden centre in Wychbold on July 7 from 9.30am to 4pm.
