THERE was plenty of fun for all the family at Bromsgrove’s annual St George’s Day celebrations on Saturday.

There was a host of activities including live performances from singer Vicky Else, the Nancy Butterfly Dancers, Artrix Songstars Choir and the Blackwell Concert Band, which feature on two Facebook Live videos on our Bromsgrove Standard page.

And, with Sanders Park’s 50th anniversary coming up in September, members of The Bromsgrove Society collected memories and photographs of one of the town’s best-loved green spaces.

Jo Slade, from the Friends of St John’s and the Bromsgrove Society said everyone had a super day, especially with the Selfie Snaps Photobooth.

“Lots of people had their photos taken with props.

“It’s a great project which aims to share the love for Bromsgrove.

After the event there was the ‘Booth on the Move’ where a number of independent traders had their pictures taken, including Carter Ltd, Selly Punjabis, Jill’s Pantry, Decanter Spirit and Bayleys of Bromsgrove.

“They were all up for being involved and sharing the love.”

Anyone wanting to see their photobooth pictures should go to the @selfiesnapbromsgrove page on Instagram.
