AN EASTER celebration united generations when students from Bromsgrove School staged their annual Easter tea party for care home residents at Housman Hall, writes Anu Shukla.

The students played host to 20 residents from two care homes.

They enjoyed an afternoon of Easter crafts, tea, cakes and top tunes by the school’s musical talents.

Students also played an impromptu rendition of ‘The White Cliffs of Dover’ in honour of Dame Vera Lynn’s 101-year birthday.

Residents said they were impressed by the origami flowers, crochet bunnies and other Easter decor items hand-made by the students.

A Bromsgrove School spokesperson said: “All of the elderly guests, as well as the staff who accompanied them commented on how wonderful the young people had been, bringing many of the quieter residents out of their shells.”
