THE PRIMROSE Hospice has received a funding boost from the Bordesley Abbey Rose Croix Chapter of Freemasons which has donated £250 to the cause.
The cash was received after the theft of lead from the hospice’s roof, which was featured in the Standard.
As well as the initial £250 a further £500 was handed over by Bro. Gwyn Hughes on behalf of the Masonic Lodge of Emulation 1163 to help cover the cost of the criminal damage.
Kate Kelly, the Primrose Hospice’s corporate fund-raising manager, said a big thank you to the Freemasons and added: “We have been astounded by the support we have received from the local community in recent weeks.”
