THE THIRD heat in this year’s Search for a Star contest at the Austin Sports and Social Club saw three more singers go through.
Nathan Farrell and guitarist Sam Robinson, both from Walsall, are into the semi-finals and were joined by Emily Badger from Tividale.
Nathan sang Mack the Knife, The Snake, A Little Respect, Can’t Help Falling in Love and Something About The Way You Look, while Sam played Take Bow, Country Road, Crazy and, with another guitarist and a box hand drummer, Fais’ Lamour Avec Moi
Emily wowed the crowd with Anyone Who Had a Heart, Perfect, I Saw Her Standing There and You Raise Me Up.
The next heat takes place at 8pm tomorrow as eight more acts try to book their places in the semi-finals.
The finalists will win their share of £5,000.
