THE FIRST three artists have booked their places in the semi-finals of this year’s Search for a Star at the Austin Sports and Social Club.
Lucy Shaw from Rubery, Ben Simkiss from Longbridge and Dan Peet from Tamworth are all safely through after a closely contested heat.
The next heat will be held tomorrow at 8pm when each performer will have 20 minutes to impress the judges.
Among the local acts taking to the stage will be Rubery’s Scott Cartwright and Charlotte Young from Halesowen.
Tickets are £4 for three hours of live entertainment and there will be hot and cold food available.
