Bromsgrove's Breme Home team create choir in memory of much-loved colleague Emma

THERE was a special Christmas choral performance at Breme Care Home in Bromsgrove on Wednesday in memory of a former employee who passed away.

Residents and team members created ‘Emma’s Choir’ and were joined by families, friends and other members of the community for the event to remember Emma Phillips.

Emma, a care assistant at Breme, was just 49 when she passed away in February. She was described as having the kindest heart and was highly thought of by staff and residents.

Before the choir began singing Emma’s friend and colleague Helen Barron said: “Emma and I had tried to set this choir up last year but sadly, we ran out of time, so in her honour and respect to her memory, we are now ‘Emma’s Choir’ and this is for her.”

Emma’s daughter Kerry still works at Breme, also as a care assistant.

Helen added: “Emma was totally amazing, there are really no words to describe her but to say she was kind, loving, giving and had the best sense of humour you could ever imagine, doesn’t even come close.”
