DODFORD Children’s Holiday Farm has received £10,000 in funding for essential works which will ensure more holidays and day trips for visitors in the future.

The grant, from the Big Lottery Fund, will go towards installing a much-need water treatment plant at the Warbage Lane farm.

One of 277 community projects across the region to receive a share of £5.1million in National Lottery Funding, the plant will ensure the farm can provide holidays and day trips for needy children.

Dodford Children’s Holiday Farm’s resident warden Kelly Broadfield said: “The grant will enable us to keep improving and expanding the service we offer.

“We are now able to welcome even more children from all sorts of backgrounds who would benefit from a taste of the countryside so we encourage anyone who works with young children to have a look at our website.”
