THE ORGANISERS of the Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival say they have now secured some parking for today’s event.
It follows an announcement on the festival’s Facebook page this morning that all car parks had to be closed because the bad weather and subsequent mud had made it unsafe to park vehicles on them.
But in the last half an hour the organisers said some parking had now been found.
The statement read: “We have been working hard to make sure as many of you as possible can enjoy the festival.
“If you head over to Belbroughton you will be directed to our new car park. Please bear with us regarding any delays – we are doing what we can.”
A tweet from the Hagley and Rubery Police Safer Neighbourhood Team has also been posted: “Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival is still going ahead, parking is now available on Church Farm, Bradford Lane.”
