Traders sought for festive market as Bromsgrove's Christmas lights switch-on date is revealed

THE DAY of the annual festive lights switch-on in Bromsgrove Town Centre has been revealed and the organisers of this year’s Christmas Market are urging traders who want stalls at the event to get in touch.

The Friends of St John’s Church are again working with Bromsgrove District Council to put on the market on November 18.

Among the local favourites to have already signed up are Sarah’s Feisty Flavours, Panache Gifts and Ugly House but there is plenty of room for more, including food and drink sellers, to be part of the extravaganza.

This year Friends are also working with the Slug and Lettuce and other local pubs to bring a refreshment and entertainment area to the markets which will continue into the evening, long after the Christmas Light Switch On.

Organiser Jo Slade said: “We’ve already got some great entertainment lined up but we are looking for some other local acts to join the party.”

The stalls will be on the High Street and the entertainment, outside The Golden Cross, will run from 3.30pm to 5.30pm when the town will be illuminated.
