SAM BOSWELL tasted late season success at the weekend as the Bromsgrove triathlete took part in the Market Bosworth sprint triathlon.
After completing the Ironman event last year, Boswell took on the challenging triathlon which featured sprint courses consisting of a 750m open water swim, 20km bike ride and 5km swim.
The sports massage therapist said: “I was shocked to be first out the swim but quickly dropped to third before even getting to transition.
“I then had a slow transition and dropped to fourth.
“I clawed back to third on the bike followed by another not so great transition into the run but then closed the gap and finally took the lead just before the turn around on the run route.”
Boswell then managed to extend her lead before taking the overall win.
