THE FIRST ever Bumble Bimble has been hailed a great success after raising £1,158 for the Primrose Hospice.
The event, a five or ten-mile run through the Worcestershire countryside, began and ended at the Park Gate Inn.
BBC presenter and Primrose Hospice supporter Joanne Malin started the run and 100 per cent of the cash raised, both sponsorship and t-shirt sales, went to the cause.
The Bumble Bimble organisers and the hospice want to thank everyone who took part, Champion Security Installations and Bumble Hole Foods which sponsored the t-shirts and NFU Mutual in Bromsgrove for its support.
Alex Dentith, event organiser and Director of Champion Security Installations, said: “The first Bumble Bimble was a resounding success, we’re overwhelmed by the generosity of the local community in supporting this event.
“The feedback from participants has been incredibly positive.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to support the Primrose Hospice.”
Andrew Hewston, event organiser and MD of Bumble Hole Foods, said they would also like to thank the Park Gate Inn for the use of the venue, the volunteers who made it possible and Asda, Aldi, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Co-op for their donations.
