STAFF, parents and pupils at Catshill First School and Nursery are celebrating after receiving a Good Ofsted result.

The school was inspected on May 16 with the report saying the leadership team had maintained its good quality of education since the last visit and the staff were ‘approachable, supportive and caring’.

The inspectors went onto say learning at the school was made fun and enjoyable for the pupils and the staff put the children first.

They added the expectation of high standards was clear, as was the approach to writing and pupils were now receiving the right level of support to help them move onto the next stage of their learning journey.

The rich variety of indoor and outdoor learning activities in reception and extra curricular activities were also highlighted by the inspectors.

Executive headteacher Paul Essenhigh said it was fantastic the hard work and determination of staff, parents and governors has been recognised once more.

“Having secured two good judgements at the schools in Catshill, the strong federation further demonstrates how well we are ensuring the children from three to 13 develop as young learners.”
