PUPILS at Meadows First School were given the chance to quiz Sajid Javid about his role in the Government.
Mr Javid, who was the Bromsgrove MP and the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government at the time of the visit and is now the Conservative candidate for the forthcoming general election, spoke to the year four classes Jaguar and Tiger.
Teacher Sara Date said it was a great opportunity for pupils to be inspired to work towards making positive changes in their community.
The children asked Mr Javid a wide range of questions to find out more about democracy in the UK and shared their ideas about British Values.
“These visits are a great opportunity to inspire children to see the importance of our values such as democracy and freedom of speech,” he added.
