Bromsgrove solicitor chops his long locks for charity

Bromsgrove Editorial 29th Apr, 2017   0

THE HEAD of the matrimonial department at Thomas Horton solicitors in Bromsgrove Stephen Outhwaite has raised cash for and awareness of the Primrose Hospice by cutting off his pony tail.

Stephen has had long hair for nearly 40 years, with his pony tail being 35cm in length, but felt the time was right to contribute to the company’s chosen charity.

When Stephen was asked why he was donating proceeds to the Hospice, he said: “The Primrose is an amazing charity which does an amazing job in the local community.”

Kate Kelly, the Primrose Hospice’s corporate fund-raising manager, said: “We can’t thank Steve and his colleagues at Thomas Horton enough for their continued support.

“To date, since they have adopted Primrose as their charity of the year last year, they have raised an incredible £4,767.01.”

The ‘big cut’ took place on April 20.
