RUNNER Tony Colclough from Bromsgrove is a member of the Black Pear Joggers in Worcester and started running in 2006 – this will be his third marathon.
Tony has always wanted to run in London in memory of his stepdad who died in 2008, as that is where his family is originally from.
“I entered the ballot every year after but didn’t get in” Tony said.
This year, Tony has finally won a place on his club’s ballot.
“Thanks to training sessions with Black Pear Joggers and cutting back on my beer drinking, I am looking to shave 15 minutes off my marathon personal best and finish in under three hours and 30 minutes,” he said.
Tony’s running partner Meg is running for Leukemia care and the pair can be sponsored here: https://2017-london-marathon.everydayhero.com/uk/meg
