A BEER festival is being held at Bromsgrove’s Park Gate Inn, Kidderminster Road, to raise funds for canals and waterways groups.
There will be 32 beers, eight ciders and three perries available at the event which has been organised by landlord and landlady Chris and Dawn Pedley in conjunction with the Worcester-Birmingham and Droitwich Canal Society (WBDCS).
It runs from 5pm on Friday (April 21) and all day Saturday and Sunday (April 23).
Canal Society volunteers will be on hand during the weekend, with information and displays about the history of the local canals and the work they are currently carrying out in and around the area. Visitors will also be able to find out about forthcoming events.
WBDCS chairman, David Wheeler said “The Worcester Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society would like to thank Chris and Dawn for hosting this weekend and allowing us to highlight the work the Society carries out on and around our local canals.
“I hope everyone enjoys the beers and ciders on offer and have a wonderful weekend.”
