THERE will be plenty of Red Nose Day activities for customers at Sainsbury’s Northfield next weekend as staff pull out all the stops for this year’s Comic Relief.
Fund-raising activities at the store next Friday and Saturday (March 24 and 25) include counting the balloons in cars, tombolas , spend a penny, fancy dress up and an urban fitness gym provided by Bournville College.
Store manager Paul Michel said employees loved people getting involved with Red Nose Day fundraising and were proud to support such a great cause.
Customers can also pick up one of the Red Noses for £1 with at least 60p going to Comic Relief and there will be other themed items on sale, including wristbands, badges, reusable bags and mugs.
A SLEEPOVER is being held at a South Birmingham trampoline park to raise funds for Comic Relief.
The After Dark Disco, at Rush in Kings Norton, takes place between 7pm and 10pm next Friday (March 24) and then, as youngsters get their PJs on, there will be the screening of a film from 10.30pm before lights out at midnight.
From 7am the next morning (Saturday, March 25) there will be The Big Rush cooked breakfast, with tea, coffee, water and juice being available from 7am to 8am.
There will then be an hour’s worth of bouncing before the event ends at 8.30am.
