BLACK Horse booked their place in the semi-finals of the Bromsgrove & Redditch Standard Shield with a resounding 7-1 victory over FC Highgate United.

Dan Carter and Robbie Bunn lead the way for Horse as they bagged braces while an own-goal and strikes from Steven Roche and Ben Ellicott completed their scoring.

Red Lion cemented their position at the top of Bromsgrove & District League Division One after edging out Oak Tree Sporting 3-2.

Pete Jenvey, Ellis Kalach and Josh Green did the damage for Lion with James Gasson and Jack Steele replying for Sporting.

Two goals from Jason Gibbons helped Awkies Allstars secure a 3-1 victory over Spa Athletic in Division Two.

Ash Tullett also netted for Allstars while Jack Weatherby equalised for Athletic before their demise.

Elsewhere, the only other game which survived the torrid weather saw Chaddesley Corbett Reserves thump Millfield Rovers Reserves 6-0 in Division Three.

Dan White was the hat-trick hero for Corbett with the other goals coming from Gaz Swain, Tommy Calder and Ben Mcloughlin.
