SIGNS in Bromsgrove which are still directing people to the former Council House will finally be taken down, Worcestershire County Council Highways has said.
A Redditch resident who was visiting the town contacted The Standard to say: “If someone is coming into Bromsgrove via the A38 and they do not know the town, they would be directed to the derelict building.”
A Bromsgrove District Council spokesperson said: “We are pleased the county council is now addressing the issue.”
A Worcestershire County Council spokesperson said now it had been brought to the authority’s attention it would remove these signs ‘as soon as was practical’.
