THE SLUG and Lettuce in Bromsgrove has opened its doors after a £200,000 makeover, creating five new jobs in the process.

Situated at the top of Bromsgrove High Street, the bar, which reopened on Thursday (December 1), has undergone a complete re-haul, with an update to its interior and the addition of a new food menu to go alongside the extensive cocktail list.

There is something for the whole family, whether it be the healthy children’s menu or the bar’s fast and fresh offering which takes inspiration from around the globe and includes everything from superfood salads to noodle boxes and Asian platters.

Paul Humphrey, general manager at Slug and Lettuce Bromsgrove, said: “We have been in Bromsgrove for over eight years and it is such a great time to unveil an updated venue to the locals.

“With 2-for-1 cocktails all week and such an extensive drink list, we can’t wait help all those celebrate the festive period and are keen to bring live music back to the high street of Bromsgrove.”

Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid popped in to take a look and try his hand at making cocktails. He said: “It’s great to see investment taking place in the town and it was lovely to pop in to see the fantastic refurbishment and meet with manager Paul and his customers.

“The atmosphere is perfect for gatherings and celebrations.”

The bar will open from 10am to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to midnight on Friday to Saturday and 11am to 11pm on Sunday.
