OFFICERS from West Mercia Police are searching for people who have been directly affected by drink-driving.
The appeal comes with the force’s plans already well underway for this year’s Christmas drink and drug driving enforcement and education campaign.
However ideally they would like to use personal stories within their campaign.
PC Johanne Short said: “Drink driving doesn’t just affect the life of the individual involved, but also family, friends and a whole range of people in the wider community.
“We are urging anyone who has been affected by drink driving – either personally or a family member or friend – to come forward and share their experiences with us in order to raise awareness of the impact that drink driving has on people’s lives during our Christmas 2016 campaign.”

A police spokesperson said: “If you’d prefer to discuss this with someone over the phone, just let know officers know your telephone number and they will call you back.
“We would like to use personal stories within our Christmas campaign, but you can tell us your experiences either openly or anonymously.”
