YOUNGSTERS from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School, based at Longbridge Methodist Church took part in a week of activities all themed on Children In Need.
During the five days, they learnt about children who are less fortunate than themselves, children who can’t hear, see, walk or talk.
The children also had a go at painting using their teeth to hold a paintbrush, learnt about guide dogs and hearing dogs.
They re-enacted the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears using props and Makaton sign language.
The week finished with the children and staff coming to nursery and pre-school in Pudsey bear t-shirts, or in yellow clothing.
The children made and decorated Pudsey Bear biscuits and had a teddy bears picnic.
Over £50 was raised for Children in Need.
Jacqueline Walker, the nursery / pre-school manager, said: “This theme presented lots of fun learning opportunities for the children.”
Nationwide. this year’s Children In Need raised more than £46.6million.
