THE NEXT meeting of Fairfield WI will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday (November 9).
The event, at the village hall, will feature a presentation on ‘Making Cards for Christmas’ by Tracey Bartlam.
Members and non-members alike can go along to the meeting which follows on from a successful one last month.
That saw Carol open the meeting, welcome everyone and give an update on how member Nancie was.
Ellen was thanked for the flowers on the top table and it was announced that – for the group’s 85th birthday next year – members would be going on a river cruise, although the date is yet to be decided.
Sheila’s McMillan coffee morning raised over £400 which was fantastic for such a good cause and everyone who supported it was thanked.
Guest speaker Robert Kendrick gave a presentation on ‘Behind the Scenes with a TV and Film Caterer’ which interested and amused members.
The competition- a selection of autumn berries – was won by Sheila Morris with Carol Hine second and Beverly Cotterill third.
