EIGHT hundred years of producing cider and perry in Worcesteshire is to be celebrated at Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings with Apple Day on Sunday (October 9).

The popular annual event will include a number of fun activities such as juicing apples using a vintage apple press, archery, pony rides, vinatge fairground rides, and interesting demonstrations of traditional crafts, with Tudor re-enactors scattered around the beautiful 19-acre grounds.

As well as this, Avoncroft’s famous 19th century windmill will be open and there will be tradiitional baking in the Victorian Toll House using apples from the museum’s trees.
