A PIRATE and Princess Party was held for youngsters from Play Days Playgroup at St Stephen’s Church to mark the last day of term.

The children, whose ages ranged from six weeks to four years, dressed as pirates and princesses and brought along their own picnics.

They also made pirate hats and decorated pirate cut-outs and were treated to two bouncy castles and a ball pond.

The celebration ended with a mini disco which saw the youngsters play musical instruments, take part in ‘pass the pirate sword’ and have a go at party games, song and dance.

Volunteer manager Jules Kite-Lightfoot said: “It was a lovely session that was enjoyed by all.”
