THE SEARCH is on for new coaches to develop the next generation of talented footballers in Bromsgrove.

Santiago Colts Football Club are currently on the look out for potential coaches and managers to work with youngsters aged between six and eight-years-old.

The positions are voluntary and bosses at the club say the successful candidates should either have at least a level one coaching certificate, including safeguarding children and first aid, or be willing to go to relevant courses.

The club said they would pay course fees for the right people, while all candidates would be subject to the FA equivalent of CRB.

Anyone interested in the vacancy should contact Bill Edge on 07806 093483, Andy Howard on 07443 539845 or Paul Challinor on 07791 594796

Meanwhile, four goals from Keatley Charles saw Santiago’s u13 Knights hammer Callowbrook Swifts 8-1, with further goals coming from Owen Hill, Josh Dearn and Lucas Percy who bagged a brace.

U12 Allstars beat Beacon Colts 1-0 thanks to a first half Joe Wathen header, while u13 Shamrocks drew 1-1 with Studley Junior Bees before losing 5-4 on penalties,

There was also disappointment for u11 Crusaders who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Boldmere Spitfire, while the u16 Girls County Cup clash with Halas Hawks was among a number of games which were postponed – although they managed to make it to half-time.
