BROMSGROVE Police are warning people not to deliberately start fires ‘for fun’ or video content.
There has been an increase across the district of blazes being started and, with the heatwaves and the ground tinder dry, lives are being put at risk.
The flames are spreading fast and can lead to serious consequences.
West Mercia Police is urging parents to be aware of where their children are and look for signs they may be involved.
This could include the smell of smoke on clothes or bags, burn marks on belongings, them being in possession of lighters or matches they cannot explain. They may also have soot on hands or under nails and take a sudden interest in abandoned buildings, alleyways, or woodland areas.
