AN ENTREPRENEUR who co-founded the clothing company Gymshark has been named as the 10th wealthiest person in the West Midlands, according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List.
Ben Francis, who was born and grew up in Bromsgrove, is worth £800million, putting him among the region’s highest earners.
And, when it comes to the ‘wealthiest under 40′, Mr Francis’ fortune puts him top in the West Midlands’ and fifth in the UK-wide list.
Mr Francis, who attended South Bromsgrove High School, co-founded Gymshark in 2012 with Lewis Morgan, whilst they were studying at Aston University together.
They began screen-printing and selling fitness clothing in his parent’s garage.
The company has its headquarters in Solihull and, according to reports, generated a record £646million in revenue for the 2025 financial year.
