THIS YEAR’S Bromsgrove Beer Festival has been cancelled.
The organisers – Redditch and Bromsgrove CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) – said it was not financially viable to continue the event in its current format but added there are plans to bring it back next year.
The event, traditionally held in the last weekend of June to coincide with the Bromsgrove Festival, has become a popular extravaganza for connoisseurs of real ale, craft beers, cider and perry and pulled in the crowds.
Options are being explored to change the format but, unfortunately, there was not time to put them in place for this summer.
The events team said they hoped members would support the other CAMRA festivals in the area, alongside local pubs, adding they would use the time between now and next summer to create a new-look Bromsgrove Beer Festival for 2027.
