BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC exited the Holder Cup after losing 3-1 to Kawala on their return to action following a string of weather-related postponements, writes Neil Gordon.
Joe Reynolds found the net for Rovers as the teams went into the interval level at Knightlow Road.
However, Bromsgrove conceded twice more after the break against Birmingham and District Football League Premier Division outfit Kawala.
The Greens took to the pitch for the first time in four weeks and played only their third game since November.
A string of weather-related postponements also resulted in the tie being switched.
Bromsgrove had failed to stage the fixture on either of the two original dates.
Jacob Brown also returned in goal for the Greens after a broken ankle.
And Rovers are now looking to bounce-back against Division Four Thimblemill Rec in the semi-finals of the Intermediate Cup and book their place in the final.
Bromsgrove play Thimblemill Rec at Eldorado Close on Saturday, February 21. Kick-off is 2.30pm and admission free.
