THE A38 on the Oakalls Island to Austin Road island will be closed tomorrow due to overnight maintenance works.
The work will sat at 8pm and continue through the night.
Worcestershire County Council have said these works are essential maintenance and are required to ensure the highway remains safe and serviceable.
A spokesperson said: “As the Highway Authority, we have a statutory duty to maintain the highway in a safe condition for all users.
“Given the current condition of the carriageway from Oakalls Island and Austin Road Island, it is necessary that these resurfacing and ironwork repairs are undertaken without delay.
“While the A38 BREP works are currently operating within booked roadspace, these works must take precedence.
“The A38 works cannot be deferred and will not conflict with any planned BREP closures.”
