THE FUNERAL of a community champion, D-Day veteran and Frankley Parish Councillor will take place tomorrow.
Eric Carter BEM died earlier this month after decades of serving his local community, along with serving his country in the Second World War.
He was awarded the prestigious Legion d’Honneur, France’s highest military honor. That was awarded for the crucial role of British forces liberating France, particularly during the D-Day landings.
He was also made a Freeman of Frankley Parish.
Eric’s funeral will take place at Waseley Hills Crematorium at 3pm tomorrow (Thursday, January 29) – everyone who knew Eric is welcome.
