A NEW Veterans Breakfast Club is being launched by the Bromsgrove branch of the Royal British Legion.
The get-together will take place at The Lemon Tree in the town centre – which has kindly offered its upstairs room – on the second Saturday of the month. The first one will be from 10am to 12pm on Saturday (January 10).
The branch is trying to provide a private space for those, of any age, who have served, to get together in a supportive environment.
It is aimed at being a place where former servicemen and women can informally share stories and have a sense of community.
Jeff Evans, the chairman of the Bromsgrove branch of the Royal British Legion, said: “It’s our way of trying to reach out and say ‘thank you’. It’s just a subsidised breakfast on the Bromsgrove branch.”
