Next Bromsgrove Repair Cafe to take place tomorrow

Bromsgrove Editorial 2nd Jan, 2026   0

THE NEXT Bromsgrove Repair Cafe takes place at All Saints Church Hall, Burcot Lane, from 2.30pm to 5pm tomorrow (Saturday, January 3).

People can take along their household items to be repaired in return for a donation to help fund the project and its monthly sessions.

The repairers can fix electrical and electronic items (PAT tested after repair to check their safety), mechanical items, tool sharpening, jewellery, clothing, stringed instruments, toys, turntables/audio equipment, wooden furniture and clocks. They can also repair bikes by appointment.

Visitors can enjoy coffee and home-made cake while their items are fixed.

At the last repair cafe on December 5, all customer donations for repairs were passed on to NewStart’s pop up toy shop which ensured every child had a present to open on Christmas Day.

Julie Robinson, the repair cafe’s co-ordinator, said: “The Repair Cafe isn’t just about fixing broken things – it’s about strengthening the community around us.

“Month after month, we’ve been welcomed, supported, encouraged, and cheered on by the people of Bromsgrove.

“Our customers popped in with their broken household items, enjoyed a cuppa, a chat, and the cosy pre-Christmas buzz and where able, left a small donation towards the shopping fund which we used to buy toys and selection packs which we dropped into New Starts a day or two later.”
