THE ANNUAL Christmas hamper campaign has been taking place in Longbridge to ensure everyone in South West Birmingham and Redditch have enough food during the festive season.
And another annual toy appeal has also been held so all children and young people have presents to open on Christmas Day.
For the hampers, Geraghty’s Butcher’s teamed up with former Longbridge councillor Andy Cartwright and Gemma Cartwright MBE from Pride of Longbridge.

The meat came from Geraghtys and the veg was supplied by Sainsbury’s Longbridge.
Chloe’s Skin Clinic donated items, Fit 4 Sport have also donated items and given their time to deliver parcels.
And McDonald’s Longbridge and the McDonald’s Delivery Kitchen donated toys and TJ Security also helped with deliveries.
The donation point for the toys is in the Longbridge town centre security office, in between Poundland and Marks and Spencer.
Gemma said: “This is the 12th year we have done this for the community, it was great to see everyone pull together to help those in need.”
She also thanked the Bromsgrove Standard for publicising the appeal.
