A MUCH-LOVED funeral director has been sponsoring Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre’s annual Lights of Love campaign for an amazing 10 years.
Staff and customers from Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors came together last week with representatives from Primrose to bless Christmas trees at the branches in Redditch, Bromsgrove, Wythall and Alvechurch.
Over the years, Thomas Brothers’ generous sponsorship has helped cover the running costs of the campaign, ensuring more of people’s donations in memory of their loved ones go directly to the charity.
The Primrose Hospice Lights of Love allows anyone who has ever felt the grief of a bereavement to make a tangible act of remembrance at Christmas.
Each twinkling light on the Christmas trees in Bromsgrove and Redditch town centres represents a life loved and will remain lit throughout the festive period.
Kelly Wetherall, the Lights of Love campaign fundraiser, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Thomas Brothers for their continued support, in particular Simon Thomas for choosing Primrose.
“Without his generosity, we would not be able to continue our essential work caring for people with life-limiting illnesses and bereaved families and for that we are truly grateful.”
There is still time to make a dedication.
To ensure tributes are displayed by Christmas, participants should ensure the Primrose has received the dedication by Monday, December 15.
