RESIDENTS have just two weeks left to share their views on Bromsgrove planning future, as the extended consultation on the Local Plan nears its deadline.
The Local Plan will determine where and how 9,000 new homes, businesses and infrastructure will be developed across the district by 2043.
Bromsgrove District Council has already received an unprecedented 7,000 responses, after holding 19 public events and launching a digital platform to make it easier for people to get involved.
Portfolio Holder for Planning, councillor Kit Taylor, urged residents to take part before the consultation closes at 5pm on Monday, October 20.
“This stage may be ending soon, but the process is far from over,” he said. “Your feedback now will shape the next stage, so please share your views.”
The consultation sets out 21 potential development locations from more than 400 sites previously suggested. These options remain at an early stage and will be reassessed alongside all responses before the plan is finalised.
Consultation materials are available online at www.bromsgrove.gov.uk/BromsgrovePlan and in local libraries. Feedback can be submitted by email, post, or through the council’s interactive consultation platform.
The Standard has reported extensively on the plans, which have been under intense scrutiny. Search ‘Bromsgrove Standard draft development strategy’ online for more information.
