Police investigating car-key burglary and attempted vehicle theft in Rubery

POLICE are investigating a car-key burglary and an attempted car theft in Rubery.

The burglary took place around overnight between Sunday and Monday when a black Land Rover Discovery Sport, with the partial registration ‘BD16’, was taken, without keys.

It was stolen from the drive of a house in New Road. The owners only found out when they looked out of the window.

The raiders gained entry via a back door whilst the home owner was asleep, and stole a quantity of cash and some keys.

Then around 1.15am on Thursday, a sophisticated attempt was made to steal a car in Lyndon Road, Rubery.

Two me, dressed in black, were seen to be using a laptop and scanner near a vehicle, but ran off when disturbed.




They made off in an awaiting car and headed off in the direction of Richmond Road.
