STUDENTS studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Bromsgrove have delivered some of the best pre-marked scores globally.

Bromsgrove School’s IB Diploma cohort are expected to deliver ‘exceptional’ results, achieving the highest pre-mark scores in the school’s history.

Across 159 Higher Level subjects, students achieved 87 grade 7s (55 per cent) and 47 grade 6s (30 per cent), resulting in a cumulative A*/A equivalent rate of 84 per cent, as per UCAS conversion standards.

This outcome firmly places the school’s results well above global averages and even surpasses post-remark figures from previous years.

Of the 53 students in the cohort, 31 achieved 40 points or more, a benchmark reached by only 10 per cent of students worldwide.

Notably, four students – Bijen G, Erik P, Lina S, and Celia V – attained the perfect score of 45, a rare accomplishment achieved by fewer than 1 per cent globally.

The calibre of results present the students with opportunities to secure placements at the most competitive institutions, including Oxbridge, top London Universities, and prestigious Ivy League universities in the US.

Headmaster, Mr Michael Punt said: “These results are not only a testament to our students’ dedication and talent, but also to the unwavering support and excellence of our teachers. We are immensely proud.”
