ILLEGAL off-road bike riders in Rubery are endangering lives.

Police have released this picture of two riders on the skate park in St Chad’s Park last Thursday.

The pair passed close to a young child and mounted pavements as they caused havoc in the area.

Police are urging the public to take the matter seriously as it risks both the riders and the local community.

Sgt Katie Ward, from Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), said: “We understand the concerns of the local community regarding the use of off-road bikes in public areas.

“These activities not only disrupt the peace but also pose a danger to pedestrians and other road users.”

She added the SNT was working diligently with the force’s Motorcycle Support Team to identify and take action against those responsible.

Witnesses or anyone with information on the illegal off-road bike riders is urged to email the Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team at: [email protected] or call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
