David Preston, the Chief Executive of NAMBA, said: “This year’s LYLM has once again proven the value of markets at the heart of our communities.”

Community events were put on alongside the market and social media channels were filled with stories from the traders and quotes on why they loved coming to Bromsgrove.

The campaign was avidly supported by Bromsgrove District Council’s on its Facebook page and its @betterbromsgrove Instagram account, highlighting to local traders throughout.

The campaign also effectively used the hashtag #MadeByMarkets to reinforce local identity, as well as encouraging customers to share their market moments.

NAMBA judges said Bromsgrove’s campaign was ‘full of heart’ and stated: “The tone was authentic and upbeat.”

Bromsgrove District Council leader, Coun Karen May, said: “Bromsgrove Market being lauded on a national scale is fabulous for the town.”

She sais it showed how the community still loved and supported the market, adding to have it praised nationally was a proud moment for everyone involved.
