A CELEBRATION was held at the Cozy Cafe at Catshill Social Club on Wednesday to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The cafe is run by Chadsgrove School pupils. Students from Chadsgrove Educational Trust Specialist College and members of the community also went along to the event.
Vintage Class Singers performed wartime classics, including Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree and We’ll Meet again.

Bromsgrove Town Crier Kevin Ward performed a special VE Day 80 cry and members of the town’s Royal British Legion, including President Barry Troth and Burt Sherwood, attended. They led a short Remembrance ceremony with the Kohima, Epitath, Exhortation and Last Post.
And there was a 1940s style buffet for everyone to enjoy.
