BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC manager Spencer Machin is taking ‘many positives’ from his team’s fourth-place finish this season, writes Neil Gordon.
Machin reflected on the season after leading Rovers AFC through a tough first year playing in a higher division.
Bromsgrove finished fourth in Division Two of the Birmingham and District Football League after moving up from Division Three last summer where they just missed out on automatic promotion.
Machin said: “We stepped up a division and competed, so I will take the positives out of the season.
“We finished fourth in a very competitive division that went right down to the last game.”
Machin made the comments after Silhill secured the title by two points with a 2-1 victory over runners-up North Solihull.
A number of teams in the division boast first teams playing at non-league level.
And Rovers AFC were one of only three sides to beat champions Silhill.
