JAMIE Meddows claimed two prizes at Bromsgrove Sporting’s end-of-season awards ceremony.

Meddows enjoyed a fine first campaign at the Victoria Ground as he topped the club’s scoring charts with 13 goals in the league.

And Meddows duly won the supporters’ player and players’ player of the season awards.

Sporting boss Scott Adey-Linforth selected Billy Shaw as his player of the season.

Shaw began the campaign with the Rouslers before departing for rivals Redditch United in September.

However, the midfielder returned to the club in December and made a big impression on the pitch to help Bromsgrove retain their Step Three status.

Vice-captain Aaron Roberts picked up the directors’ player of the season award after starting in all but two of Sporting’s league matches this season.

Roberts is the club’s all-time record appearance holder.

Sporting chairman Rod Brown also handed out special awards to a number of non-playing staff.

This includes, Iain Queen, the club’s development director responsible for setting up Bromsgrove’s under-21s team.

Sporting’s safety and security director Rob McLaren, club reporter Max Banner and photographer Chris Jepson also received awards.
