BROMSGROVE and District Bowls Club is hosting a prestigious open singles circuit event this weekend.
Some 64 of the United Kingdom’s best bowlers will take to the club’s rinks. The winner will receive £1,000 in prize money from a total fund of £2,200.
The two-day competition will begin tomorrow (Saturday, March 29) and finish on Sunday.
The action will run from 9am to 9pm on the Saturday and resume at 9am on the Sunday with the final scheduled to start at 6.30pm.

The club’s director, Paul Heathcote said: “We are delighted to host this event, showcasing the very best talent in our sport.”
Admission to the event at the club on Austin Road is free.
