Home town talent Jack Goodall to play Fairfield Village Hall in latest Bromsgrove Arts event

Bromsgrove Editorial 7th Mar, 2025   0

BROMSGROVE artist Jack Goodall is set to return to the stage in his home town at Fairfield Village Hall tomorrow (Saturday, March 8), writes Aidan Kilcullen.

Jack will perform original music supported by Dystopia Gently, with a plethora of influences like blues performers Ian Siegel and Aynsley Lister and Afrobeat star Dele Sosimi.

He and his uniquely stylised music have toured the UK, Ireland and Canada both solo and with Canadian band The Hoop, formed in Windsor, Ontario, during Jack’s time as a student.

In addition to playing on records from Freya, Karen Swan, Dominic Hyde and Wildflower, he has also released three solo albums and featured on the 2021 record Out Of Here with The Kick.

He also worked with theatre company Extant and the Birmingham REP to provide music for their multi-sensory experience The Sense Of You in 2018.

A spokesperson for Bromsgrove Arts, which has organised the event, said: “It is always a delight to have Jack back on our stage, and it will also be nice to give a warm Bromsgrove welcome to Katherine Evans and Dystopia Gently.

“Our ‘Your Stage’ project gives artists such as Jack and Katherine a platform to shine and to share their new music.

“Independent artists and their music are often overlooked and it would be great if the people of Bromsgrove and beyond could lend their support and encouragement.”

Alternative indie rock band Dystopia Gently, originally from Birmingham and led by non-binary and queer singer Katherine Evans, will support Jack on the night.

The show will begin at 8pm, and tickets are available for £8.00 in advance at bromsgrovearts.org.uk/event/jack-goodall or for £10 on the door.
