THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of bringing drugs into Droitwich after police stopped a car as it was coming into the town.

Officers from our Operational Policing Unit (OPU) stopped a silver Ford Fiesta on Rashwood Hill, Rashwood at around 7.45pm on Saturday. Intelligence supplied to the force led to it being tracked off the M42 from Junction 1 (Bromsgrove).

When the vehicle was searched, class A and B drugs and a large amount of cash were found which were seized, and three people were arrested.

Two men, aged 42 and 20, and a woman, aged 40, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and remain in custody where they are helping police with their enquiries.

OPU Insp Stephanie Arrowsmith said: “This successful vehicle stop has prevented a large amount of class A and B drugs coming into Droitwich which is a good result protecting our communities from harmful substances.

“Three people have been arrested on suspicion of bringing drugs into the town with the intention of supplying them and are helping us with enquiries.”
