A SELECTION of holiday lets across the UK are being auctioned off to raise funds for a Worcestershire based childhood cancer charity.
Be More Frank, a fund set up to raise money for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, has been gifted 13 unique holiday lets which will be sold to the highest bidder to boost the pot.
The record-breaking special named fund of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is the largest and fastest growing fund in the Charity’s history and is hoping for further growth looking ahead to 2025.
Be More Frank has helped raise over £206,000 for the trust and was set up by parents, Emma and Eddie Cleal, in memory of their son Frank who died aged 13 in June, 2021 after being diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called osteosarcoma.
Dr Jennifer Kelly, founder & CEO of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust said: “It is wonderful to see how much Be More Frank has achieved since it was founded.
“As a charity, we are so grateful for Emma and Eddie’s tireless fundraising, which has enabled us to provide financial support to so many more families.
“What an incredible legacy for a very special young man.” The Be More Frank fund has helped the charity double the size of the grants it offers to families.
The auctioned breaks range in location from Snowdon to the Forest of Dean to Lake Bala, the New Forest, rural Herefordshire and even the heart of Weobley.
Many are dog friendly, there really is a variety to suit a range of holiday requirements.
Emma Cleal, Frank’s mum and founder of Be More Frank said: “We really are so grateful to the community for the continued support we receive.
“The funds raised from this incredible auction will go quite some way in enabling us to continue providing grants to families facing their darkest months and years.
“I know myself when Frank was having treatment the pressures it puts on you as a family, aside from emotional and physical, are also mental and practical.
“You can’t go to work, and you are worrying about how you are just going to pay your bills. We hope that we can relieve some of that stress for these families.”
This is the third holiday let auction the fund have been ‘fortunate enough’ to offer.
